On the Road Again...

After a few months of relatively little work-related travel, I am on the road again...last week Madison, WI, this week Cedar Rapids, IA, next week maybe Chicago, the following week back to Chicago, then Spring Break (we're going to see The Backyardigans LIVE in Battle Creek), then to Dallas, home a week, then off to Milwaukee, and so on through the end of May. Sprinkle in a visit to Indiana and Oregon, and voila, major miles with NWA. Whew!

It was sad especially last night, as I was tucking our daughter into bed, I told her that I had to go to "far away work" for a few days. She asked me where, and I told her "Iowa." She started crying and said "I don't want Momma to go to Ohiowa!"

I am playing flute with the Northwestern Michigan College concert band, and we had a concert last Friday. That is great fun, and I really enjoy playing. That is the one thing I will always regret-not pursuing my passion when I had the opportunity! Anyhow, one of the other flutists is the flute instructor at Interlochen, and she told me that I had great tone...that made my day! Kirk and Talia attended the concert, and appropriately enough, Talia fell asleep during a song called "Sleep." It was late in the evening though...

Tonight I had lo mein with vegetables for dinner-I haven't had Chinese food in forever. The waitress was really nice and gave me 2 extra fortune cookies to give to Talia. My fortune: "You will receive a compliment from a stranger on Friday." We'll see...

Buwahahahahahahahah! I have access to your comments! The beginning of the end has started.

Nice puppies! I thought you liked cats or did you want Fido Kitty to be a dog so you named her Fido Kitty?

Oh, and as always, Talia is a cutie-pie.

What your family needs is a nice sedate old coon hound.
